Latin Mafia

Latin Mafia is a trio from Mexico City and is made up of brothers Milton, Emilio and Mike de la Rosa. The group first gained traction on TikTok during the pandemic, where they posted videos that led to their first singles being released. There’s no specific genre for their music, as they blends reggaeton, indie pop, Latin Trap, and R&B. They’ve released singles such as ‘Julieta’ and ‘Patadas de Ahogado’, which give a sense of their catchy melodies.

For the ACL audience, they are an opportunity to see one of the most innovative acts in modern Latin music. Their shows are high-energy as they switch from genre to genre to keep people engaged and the experience authentic. Latin Mafia fuse their range with their live performances, an explosion everyone needs to witness.

Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso (Weekend Two)

The duo of Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, friends from childhood, originate from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and represent a unique Latin R&B + trap sound. They rose to fame from their immensely popular NPR Tiny Desk Concert that took the world by storm. Their incredible and varied music coupled with their electric and infectious energy to another level. Songs like “RE FORRO”, “EL UNICO” and “DUMBAI have generated a loyal following amongst the latin world + TikTok community. On top of their highly infectious tracks, Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso are absolute must-sees for those attending the Austin City Limits festival – their live shows are a whirlwind of pure enjoyment.

LA LOM

Hailing from the musical city of Los Angeles, LA LOM (Los Angeles League of Musicians) is an instrumental trio that is made up of Zac Sokolow, Jake Faulkner and Nicholas Baker. Drawing from their surroundings, LA LOM combines the rhythms and grooves of cumbia, bolero, and Peruvian chicha, while pairing it with the enigma of 60s surf rock melodies and bad soul ballads.

LA LOM is primarily an instrumental band, but they have collaborated with artists like Gaby Moreno. The songs that have received most notoriety are tracks like “Santee Alley” and “El Sueño.” The band creates a nostalgic and cinematic atmosphere without utilizing a single lyric, something perfect for Austin City Limits festival-goers that want to dance as if they are in the streets of LA.

The Animeros (Weekend One)

Instrumental latin sounds are absolutely booming, as The Animeros are following suit. Known in the Austin music scene, they are an up-and-coming instrumental band that merges traditional cumbia with psychedelia. According to the band, their powerful mix of influences comes from Colombia’s jungles, 1960s coastal Mexico and West Texas cantinas. They have grown in popularity since their formation in 2024 with key performances, including festivals like SXSW and (now) Austin City Limits. Some popular songs include “Cumbia Menchaca,” “Ojinaga” and “Chicha De La Rosa”, all tracks that are genre-transcending and worth checking out live.

FEID

Born in Medellín, Colombia, Feid (Salomón Villada Hoyos) has emerged as a major player in the global urban scene. Prior to his ascension as a performer, Feid gained success as a songwriter for big-name artists like J Balvin and Nicky Jam. He has a smooth vocal style marked by a sound practically impossible to categorize, weaving elements of reggaeton, pop, and R&B together seamlessly.

Feid has released many top songs, but his most successful and popular tracks to date include “Hey Mor” with Ozuna and “LUNA”. This includes the viral hit “Classy 101” with Young Miko, which took over charts and streaming platforms for many months. Seeing the singer at Austin City Limits is your chance to experience his tremendous energy in a festival setting. His captivating persona never fails to create a celebration of his Colombian heritage, sure to get all of Austin moving.

Honorable Mention Gizmo Varillas (Weekend One)

Gizmo Varillas, a singer-songwriter born in Spain, identifies his style as varied and bold. Having lived in Spain / Cardiff, he uses combination of cultural influences to find his sonic meaning amongst musical genres. Often combining folk, and pop music, and global influences, Varillas creates a sound that has a refreshing, cinematic quality and tropical vibe.

Along with popular songs “A La Vida” and “Summer Rain”, Gizmo has collaborated with numerous artists, including Scott Baio. His music has also appeared in the FIFA video games. He’s known for his warm and welcoming performances – a captivating and perfect escape at the Austin City Limits Festival.
