Croz Boyce To Perform at LEVITATION 2026 in Austin

Wear your Sunday best on September 12th for a Croz Boyce show at the Central Presbyterian Church during Levitation 2026 that your body and mind won’t forget.

Check out the Central Presbyterian Church to give Croz Boyce a chance to leave you feeling lighter. Austin’s favorite festival, LEVITATION, returns to Red River and beyond this September 10-13.

Croz Boyce is composed of Avey Tare and Geologist of Animal Collective (Dave Portner & Brian Weitz). Their new self-titled project injects life and nostalgia into the listener’s veins. Their latest album feels like the memory of daylight as you walk home just before sundown. The Central Presbyterian show is a can’t miss, this soundscape is simply best heard live.

Austin experimental ensemble, Water Damage, is set to open the show. The repetition that builds on their most recent single, Reel 45, gives the listener the clear canvas to empty out all their anxieties. The visuals at Central Presbyterian combined with the warmth of the crowd will make this set feel straight out of a dream.

It’s unlikely you’ll be able to sit still after hitting the high ceilings in Central Presbyterian. I recommend walking down the street to Elysium to catch the darkwave sets from Sine, Curse Mackey, and Nitzer Ebb. I think it’ll be a nice contrast and an opportunity to dance your soul back into your body. Or, if you’d rather mosh, check out Mohawk and meet Kylesa to stomp around to their Savannah sludge.

Four day passes are already sold out, but there are still a few individual shows to choose from. The festival sprawls across Austin, taking over Red River, Radio/East, and 29th Street Ballroom. Bikini Kill, Sleep, and Molchat Doma will headline throughout the weekend over at Radio/East while Takuya Nakamura, Lunar Vacation, and Radium Dolls take care of 29th Street.

LEVITATION doesn’t make it easy to choose, but there are still 3 day Radio/East passes and individual show tickets available, so you may not have to.

See y’all out there, don’t forget your ear plugs and remember to thank the staff!

I am a student at Texas State studying Digital Media and Psychology. I am always carrying my camera with me, it feels like my true voice. Some of my favorite artists are Courtney Barnett, Tainy, Frank Ocean, Art Lown, Fleshwater, Turnover, SZA and Wynton Kelly. Central Texas always has talented people passing through and I try to catch as many shows I can. I really love fashion, part of the fun of going to a concert is seeing what the artists wear on stage and everyone's outfits in the crowd. I tend to use musical elements in my fashion photography, the two are so intertwined to me. I also love to read and run, but not always at the same time.
