Moroccan / Canadian singer Faouzia will be bringing her latest album, FILM NOIR, to the Austin City Limits Music Festival this October.
If you feel like Faouzia came out of nowhere when she started flooding the airwaves with her hit “UNETHICAL,” you’d be dead wrong.The Moroccan-Canadian artist has shown a passion in music since she was a small child, eventually uploading her first covers to YouTube at 13.
Following a series of musical schooling, emerging talent contest wins, recording, collaborations, and songwriting credits, Faouzia took her music career and made her own path, going independent in 2024. Betting on herself paid off, as she now has organic success and is booking stages left and right by her own merit. This October, she will take the stage at ACL.
Music fans will have a real sonic treat. Rather than allowing herself to be boxed into one sound, Faouzia blends dramatic pop, R&B, electronic production, and powerhouse vocals with an almost cinematic sense of storytelling.
That theatricality feels especially fitting on FILM NOIR, a project that leans into darker moods, heightened emotion, and a striking visual identity while keeping Faouzia’s voice firmly at the center. She can move from vulnerability to full-force, soaring vocals in seconds, giving her music the kind of drama that feels made for a festival stage.
