The Runarounds Shine at the House of Blues in Dallas

Opener Easy Honey accompanies headliner The Runarounds at the House of Blues in Dallas for the ‘Minivan’ Tour.

Last week, rock band The Runarounds kicked off their “Minivan Tour” at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. For this leg of the tour, they were joined by indie band Easy Honey. On this chilly winter night, fans gathered in a line that wrapped around the venue. They steadily entered the front doors and were greeted by a warm and colorful atmosphere. Before they set foot in the concert ballroom, attendees could shop at the merch table that featured shirts, hoodies, guitar picks, and more. Inside of the concert ballroom, unique artwork covered the wall and the sold out crowd congragated on the floor and balcony.

The first act of the night was Easy Honey, an alternative band from South Carolina. They currently have more than 30 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their song “Alright, Alright” has accumulated half of million streams. This year, Easy Honey released their single titled “Everything I See”. On stage, the band delivered a high energy performance that was combined with strobe lights and high crowd engagement. Easy Honey also covered a Fleetwood Mac track, and poured honey into one of the members’ mouth after a bottle was thrown onto the stage by a nearby fan.

The last act of the night was The Runarounds, a punk band from North Carolina. The Runarounds’ first television appearance was on the Netflix show Outer Banks, which led to their own Prime Video series The Runarounds. They have almost 400 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their song “Ghosts” has garnered more than 3 million streams. Last year, the band released their soundtrack The Runarounds, and their single “Chasing The Good Times”. During their set, the band incorporated several fan favorite tracks such as “Shoelaces” and “Senior Year”. The band didn’t miss a beat, and the attendees sang along to every word. Overall, both Easy Honey and The Runarounds perfectly jump started a new year of shows.
