Austin Psych Fest 2025 will return to the Far Out Lounge on April 25th through 27th featuring Explosions in the Sky, Dinosaur JR., Kim Gordon, Yo La Tengo and more.

From iconic bands to up-and-coming artists carefully curated together, it’s paradise for music enthusiasts who want to experience something different.
Explosions in the Sky are on this year’s lineup, an highly influential American post-rock band known for their albums like How Strange, Innocence (2000) and The Wilderness (2016). Indie legends STRFKR and Yo La Tengo are also set to appear at this year’s Austin Psych Fest. While both are different genres of indie, they are artistic and expressive in their performances. Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon will also take the stage, and her visceral live show experience is definitely one to see. Gordon is a noise rock pioneer, and she perfectly blends punk energy with experimental soundscapes.
The lineup is also riddled with newcomers to the indie scene, such as Austin’s very own Holy Wave. Most recently, the band released a double-header single titled “That Guy” + “Time Crisis Too” with Chastity Belt, where their dream-like sounds make a perfect addition to Austin Psych Fest’s vibe. Indie singer SASAMI will also be making her Austin appearance, as she will be en route in her ‘Blood on the Silver Screen’ NA Tour. Other newcomers include The Octopus Project, Alex Maas, King Hannah, and many more.
Along with the music, Austin Psych Fest also creates a sense of community, building bridges among festival-goers and performers alike.
