Foo Fighters have just announced their first Houston show since 2018. Slated to take over 713 Music Hall on October 10th, the band is venturing down to the H between headlining weekends at Austin City Limits.
The band is fresh off the release of their newest album But Here We Are, which was released this past June to critical acclaim, and has since been playing nearly every major festival on the planet, including Glastonbury, Outside Lands, and Bonnaroo.
Currently out on their first tour since the passing of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters have been a mainstay in the American rock scene since their inception in 1994. With 11 studio albums, an impressive 15 Grammy wins and 32 nominations (including three at 2022’s ceremony for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album), the band is no stranger to success.
Initially created by Dave Grohl as a solo project after the disbandment of Nirvana, the lineup has since expanded to include bassist Nate Mendel, guitarist Pat Smear, guitarist Chris Shiflett, pianist Rami Jaffee, and drummer Josh Freese, who joined the group this past May. The band’s self-titled first album, released in 1995, was written and recorded entirely by Grohl, who selected the name as a pseudonym with plans to stay anonymous, having since stated that he likely would’ve chosen a different name had he known how popular the band would go on to become.
In recent years, the band has tackled other projects, including an album of disco covers cleverly titled Hail Satin, along with Studio 666, a comedy-horror film in which Grohl gets possessed and kills the rest of the band during a recording session in a haunted mansion.
Foo Fighters take the stage at 713 Music Hall on October 10th, with tickets available on September 14th at 10am.

I'm a Houston-based concert and automotive photographer. I've been a music fan my whole life, and previously was the director for Coog Radio, the University of Houston's student radio station. I listen to a bit of everything, from blues to rock to EDM, but predominantly metal. Some favorites include Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. When I'm not behind the camera, you can catch me skating, going to car events, and buying too many coffee table books.
