Openers Hellogoodbye and Boys Night Out join headliner Armor For Sleep at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas.
On March 29, alternative band Armor For Sleep continued their tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album What To Do When You Are Dead at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, Texas. On this tour, they were supported by indie band Hellogoodbye and emo band Boys Night Out. Inside of the venue and on the outdoor patio, hundreds of fans of all ages gathered for the evening. Before the show started, attendees lined up at the merch table to buy a variety of items such as shirts, hoodies and vinyl.
The first act of the night was Hellogoodbye, a pop rock band from California. Hellogoodbye has more than 600 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Here (In Your Arms)” has accumulated more than 72 million streams. Last month, they released their latest EP Hellogoodbye: The Wild Honey Pie Buzzsession. The members of Hellogoodbye played an upbeat and funky set, and effortlessly switched between instruments and languages.

The second act of the night was Boys Night Out, a pop punk band from Canada. Boys Night Out has almost 40 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their song “Medicating” has amassed more than 2 million streams. In 2021, the band released their most recent album titled Nevermind 2. Boys Night Out gave an energetic and powerful performance, and the crowd was singing and moshing along to every word.

The last act of the night was Armor For Sleep, a post-hardcore band from New Jersey. Armor For Sleep has almost 200 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Car Underwater” has garnered more than 19 million streams. Last year the band released two singles, “In Another Dream” and “What A Beautiful World.”

Before the band came on stage, intriguing and colorful visuals projected on the background drawing the viewers in. During their set, Armor For Sleep performed What To Do When You Are Dead in its entirety, which included fan favorite tracks such as “The Truth About Heaven” and “Remember To Feel Real.” Overall, all three acts revived the emo scene in Dallas, Texas, even if just for one evening.
