BAYNK Dances the Night Away at the South Side Music Hall

Last Thursday, pop artist BAYNK continued his “Senescence World Tour” at the South Side Music Hall in Dallas, Texas. For this portion of the tour, he was accompanied by electronic artist Bad Tuner.

Despite the frigid weather, fans quickly entered the venue ready to dance the night away. The attendees wore a variety of eclectic outfits, and donned everything from cowboy hats to chunky boots. The first act of the night was Bad Tuner, a DJ based in Brooklyn, New York. Bad Tuner has almost 300 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and his remix of “Lay Back” has garnered more than 4 million streams. This year, he released a remix of “Turn Back Time” by Gilligan Moss.

On stage, Bad Tuner sported a silver jacket and pants set, as well as yellow sunglasses. During his set, a compilation of colorful and intriguing visuals played on a loop behind him. Bad Tuner played a series of funky and upbeat tracks that got the crowd moving, including his original song “in heaven” which features Miette Hope.

The last act of the night was BAYNK, a house artist from New Zealand. BAYNK has more than a million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his song “go with u” has accumulated almost 80 million streams. Last year, he released his second album titled SENESCENCE. On stage, BAYNK was joined by his two band members who played guitar and bass. He opened with his foot tapping track “Grin”, and he climbed to the top of his stage to sing and dance along.

Despite some technical issues, BAYNK successfully switched between performing, playing instruments, and interacting with the crowd. Overall, both Bad Tuner and BAYNK warmed up the Texas crowd on a chilly night.
