Chelsea Cutler Feels Alive at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas

Opener Yoke Lore accompanies headliner Chelsea Cutler at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas.

Last week, singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler continued her “The Beauty Is Everywhere” tour at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas. On this tour, she was joined by folk-pop artist Yoke Lore. Before the show even started, the venue was packed with passionate fans of all ages. Yoke Lore, a multi-instrumentalist from New York, was the first act of the night. He has almost 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his track “Beige” has accumulated more than 200 million streams. Last year, he released a series of singles as well as his album Toward a Never Ending New Beginning. During his set, Yoke Lore performed a compilation of fan favorite tracks including his original song “Seeds” and his cover of “Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden. His band’s energy was undeniable, and the audience couldn’t help but move along with the music.

Chelsea Cutler, a pop artist from Connecticut, was the last act of the night. She has more than 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and her track “you were good to me” has garnered 550 million streams. Last year, she released a handful of singles before her third studio album Stellaria. Chelsea’s stage design was stunning, and incorporated five large white arches, lights, and curtains.

On stage, she was accompanied by a bassist, keyboardist, and drummer. Chelsea opened with her song “Something More”, which was followed up by “I Don’t Feel Alive”. Throughout her set, Chelsea alternated between singing, playing the guitar, and playing a digital instrument. Her setlist consisted of an impressive 24 tracks, and for her encore she performed “Your Bones” and “this is how you fall in love”. Chelsea Cutler’s fans knew the words to every song, and she revealed that Dallas was one of the best nights on the tour overall.
