Openers Macseal and Hunny accompany headliner Cartel at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas.
On October 14, pop punk band Cartel visited the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, Texas for their “Chroma 20 Year Anniversary Tour”. On this date, they were joined by indie band Macseal and rock band Hunny. Inside the venue, hundreds of attendees congregated on the floor and balcony, or lined up at the merch table. The merch table offered a variety of goodies, such as branded hoodies, t-shirts, records, bumper stickers, and more.
The first act to hit the stage was Macseal, a rock band from New York. Macseal has almost 300 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their song “Next to You” has garnered more than 13 million streams. Last year, the band released their album titled Permanent Repeat. During their set, Macseal warmed up the crowd with their catchy tracks and performed next to a portrait of Harry Styles.

The second act of the night was Hunny, an indie band from California. Hunny has almost 600 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Televised” has accumulated more than 100 million streams. Last month, the band released their latest album titled SPIRIT!. Hunny’s touring band consisted of their lead singer/guitarist, bassist, and drummer. Before their performance started, lead singer Jason Yarger popped a VHS tape into an old TV that sat on the stage and played anime episodes alongside the music. Hunny’s set incorporated lots of fan favorite songs, including “Haloween”, “JFK”, and “Vowels (and the Importance of Being Me)”.

The last act to hit the stage was Cartel, an alternative band from Georgia. Cartel has almost 400 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Say Anything (Else)” has gathered more than 26 million streams. Last month, they released the 2025 edition of their album Chroma. On stage, Cartel’s set design mixed in bright and colorful lights that highlighted the band members. The band opened with “Let’s Go” and closed with the encore track “Deep South”. Overall, Macseal, Hunny, and Cartel teamed up for a perfect night filled with both nostalgic and new rock music.
