ACL Fest Nights: Thirty Seconds To Mars Plays at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater

It was a beautiful day in Austin, Texas on October 12th as Thirty Seconds To Mars took the stage at Stubb’s. Brothers, Jared and Shannon Leto played Stubb’s as part of ACL Fest Nights in between their weekend sets at Austin City Limits Music Festival.

The rock duo released their newest album last month titled, It’s The End of the End Of The World But it’s A Beautiful Day. The set at Stubb’s started off with a countdown into the upbeat track “Up In The Air.” Thirty Seconds To Mars played a mix of their newest and classic songs like “Walk on Water,”Stuck” and “Seasons.”

There were a few times throughout the set that Jared stopped to chat with the audience. He asked the crowd who knew their older music and also asked the audience which song they wanted to hear. Out of the songs that were shouted “A Beautiful Lie,” from their sophomore album, was chosen and Jared joked about not remembering all of the words.

The crowd was able to get involved even more throughout the set. During “Rescue Me” three lucky fans were invited to dance on stage. The last song of the night, “Closer to the Edge” the band pulled a larger group of fans from the crowd making it a memorable night for those who surfed up to the stage.

Thirty Seconds to Mars played both Saturdays at Austin City Limits Music festival on the Honda stage.
