Denzel Curry performs a high-energy show to Houston’s Bayou Music Center for his ‘Mischievous South’ tour with support from Kenny Mason.
Hailing from Florida, Denzel Curry is an artist whose energy and personality make him a star on stage. Known for his abrasive voice and delivery, he recently released his album “King of the Mischievous South Vol. II” with features from many southern artists, including Texas’s own That Mexican OT, Mike Dimes, and Maxo Kream.
As the Bayou Music Center venue was filling up with fans ready to mosh, it was time for Curry to hit the stage. The crowd was warmed up by openers 454 and Kenny Mason. Like the true southerners we are, the Houston crowd gave him a warm welcome as soon as the songs “ACT A DAMN FOOL”, “RICKY”, and “HIT THE FLOOR” were played.

Denzel Curry came out in a baggy outfit, beanie, and a glistening chain that bounced around with every move. He made the crowd sway hands from left to right, bounce, and of course, open up for mosh pits. He did reiterate to remain safe during the mosh pits, encouraging fans to help each other. As the night continued, he played a lot of his newest album KOTMS V.II as well as fan favorites of his previous projects “Melt My Eyes See Your Future”, “UNLOCKED”, and “TA13OO”.
A highlight of the night was the special guests Denzel Curry brought out for the show. To perform the Houston classic “FETTI”, Maxo Kream was brought out. On the other hand, to perform their hit “BLACK FLAG FREESTYLE,” he brought out That Mexican OT. The crowd roared as the Houston and Beaumont artists came to perform as a great surprise.

To wrap up the night, Denzel Curry ended with his hits “STILL IN THE PAINT”, “CLOUT COBAIN”, and arguably one of the best mosh pit songs, “Ultimate”.
Curry just started his North American tour. If you want to have a great time bouncing around and moshing, make sure to catch him if you can!
