As fall arrives in Houston, the RnB genre begins to shine. Khamari is a singer to look out for. The Boston-born singer-songwriter has been making waves with heartfelt lyricism and a voice that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
To celebrate the release of his second album, To Dry a Tear, Khamari embarked on his North American tour with support from Gabriel Jacoby. The lights dimmed inside the Downstairs venue at White Oak Music Hall. In return, the crowd leaned in close, eager to catch a glimpse of him.
Khamari stepped onto the stage with a guitar in hand, as he began to play the opening chords of “I Love Lucy.” The audience swayed and sang along, instantly connecting with his energy. Backed by a full live band, his performance radiated warmth and intimacy.
Throughout the night, he mixed new tracks with fan favorites from his debut album A Brief Nirvana, including “Right My Wrongs,” “On My Way,” and “Tell Me.” His smooth, soulful vocals filled the venue, creating an atmosphere that felt both romantic and intimate.
As the night drew to a close, Khamari serenaded the Houston crowd with “These Four Walls,” “It’s a Mad World,” and “Sycamore Tree,” a personal favourite of his new album.
If you’re looking for a night of heartfelt lyrics, warm vocals, and a stellar live band, Khamari’s tour is a must-see.
