Local alternative rock band, Laredo Two headlines a killer show at DV8 in Plano, TX, featuring rock & roll band, City Grey and alternative punk band, Spit.
Starting out the night City Grey, a melodic rock and roll band all the way from Fayetteville, Arkansas performed a lively acoustic set “serenading” the audience. The band consists of brothers, Andrew Behrman(Drums) and Benjie Behrman (Guitar, Vox) and friend, Pieto Malky (Bass). City Grey started out as a solo project in early 2019, which soon naturally formed the musical trio. “All we are trying to do is connect with people and make their day 1% better.” Benjie says, “That being said, we love to play loud and have a good time.” Finishing off their set with “Thank God For Fall”, an ode to their hometown described as a perfect mix of catchy, emotional and upbeat.
Following City Grey, alternative punk rock band ”Spit.” gets crowd moshing with their hard-edged sound. Members Aaron Martinez (bass and vox), Nathaniel Behr (drums), and Nick Jacobs (guitar) met about a year ago through mutual friends and skating, they soon began making music together. “It’s always thrilling to see people come and hear the music you’ve created all around you” says bassist Aaron Martinez, “it’s a sick experience.” You can find their music on all streaming platforms under “Spit.”
Headlining the night, Laredo Two plays a breathtaking set. From first time audience members to hardcore fans from day one, they all dance together united by music. The second the curtain opened, the audience welcomed them with applause. Opening their set with an unreleased song “What a Waste”, to be featured in EP “Poison II”, releasing Jan 20, 2023. Playing crowd favorites, “Mem’ry”, “Flush” and “Ketchup”, the crowd went wild moshing throughout the whole night. Looking at the audience, “There wasn’t a single song that I looked out at the crowd for while playing and didn’t see people singing,” says lead singer and guitarist, Tyler Ross. “We met lots of beautiful people that night who knew every word, the high I get from an engagement like that is enough to fuel an entire year of drive and creative output.”
