Currently on the Fault Line North American tour, Ashe performed a rockin’ sold-out show with special guests The Brook & The Bluff at the legendary Metro in Chicago, Illinois.
On May 6, Ashe performed at the Metro in downtown Chicago. This was one of the two sold out nights at the Metro. Opening up for her was The Brook & The Bluff, a Nashville based band who recently just started performing for the ending half of the tour. They started off as a duo of just Alec & Joseph until John & Fred later filled the band. They played singles like “Yard Sale,” “Say Goodbye,” and “Doobie Bronson” along with other popular releases from their album First Place. Not too long after their set, Ashe arrived barefoot and in style onto the stage. She arrived through a beautiful archway starting off the night with “Me Without You.”
Ashlyn Willson (aka Ashe) is an emotive performer who combines poetic, pop and electronic displays as a singer and songwriter. She had quickly found songwriting and production work when she moved to Nashiville – where she met DJ Ben Phipps to collaborate on the single “Sleep Alone.” This allowed her to make her mark and work with other artists such as Shaun Frank, Whethan, and Louis the Child. During her performance in the Metro, she had three different sets known as Act 1, 2, and 3 – all of which were projected on the archway. This night was very special to her because her single “Hope You’re Not Happy” came out today on all streaming platforms. She went live on her instagram during the show to broadcast the announcement for the fans who couldn’t make it. Ashe was very intimate with her fans during her performance and ended off the night with “Moral of the Story.”
