The prolific musician played at the legendary theatre in Athens, GA as one of the last stops of his “My Peace” tour.
On March 18th, PJ Morton performed for an enthusiastic crowd who had been waiting many months for the artist’s arrival. He and the opening act are New Orleans natives who have been traveling across the Southeastern US for Morton’s latest tour.
Opening for Morton was DJ Arie Spins, who announced at the beginning of her set that she was going to take the crowd “on a journey.” She played a variety of songs that had the crowd singing, dancing, and laughing along with her. She concluded her set by having the crowd sing a gospel ballad before she delivered an inspiring closing message.
PJ Morton performed shortly after, playing a set that was both heartfelt and energetic. The set featured many of Morton’s introspective works, such as his new single “My Peace.” The crowd was captivated as Morton and his band played a plethora of songs that speak to listeners lyrically and sonically. The Grammy winner is set to release new music in April, and after his recent tour, fans are more excited than ever to hear what the talented artist has in store.
