Turnstile brings tranquility and chaos in the release of their fourth studio album, NEVER ENOUGH.

After four years of silence, Baltimore’s finest, Turnstile, released their fourth studio album, NEVER ENOUGH, on June 6, 2025. Hardcore fans from around the world have eagerly awaited new music from the group, and they were not disappointed. Turnstile has been transforming the hardcore music scene, making it more accessible to everyone, and this album exemplifies that change.

The album gained attention with the release of the lead singles “NEVER ENOUGH” and “SEEIN’ STARS.” This attracted new listeners and creating a fresh wave of hardcore fans of all ages. Remarkably, the group introduced a visual album, a concept we haven’t seen in a while. This 14-song visual album will premiere at the Tribeca Music Festival and show in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2025. This approach allowed Turnstile fans to experience the album in a new way before it became available on streaming platforms.

Starring all the members of the band and directed by lead vocalist Brandon Yates and guitarist Pat McCrory, the group takes you on a journey into the soul of their sound. It’s an amazing visual masterpiece that takes you through a range of emotions while showcasing aesthetically pleasing scenes. Turnstile is passionate and intentional with their music; they know exactly who they are and how they want to be perceived. NEVER ENOUGH is a beautiful masterpiece that achieves a perfect balance between hardcore energy and psychedelic tranquility. It’s raw, unique, and packed with passion, incorporating elements of funk and electronic music.

The 45-minute album starts gently with its title track, “NEVER ENOUGH,” before fully embracing the original sound of hardcore punk. The music is hard and vibrant, accompanied by meaningful lyrics. The band creates an impressive experience with seamless transitions between tracks, maintaining a sense of tranquility throughout. You can hear Yates drawing sound and inspiration from his previous project, Free The Birds – a synth-forward approach while still retaining a subtle hardcore background, which complements NEVER ENOUGH nicely. The project concludes on a softer note with the song “MAGIC MAN,” a heartfelt farewell that elegantly wraps up the album. It is the perfect goodbye that leaves you with deep appreciation.

Turnstile has long been recognized as a leading hardcore band from Baltimore. While they maintain that reputation, their sound is evolving, attracting not only their loyal fans but also new listeners. For the first time, a hardcore band is making significant changes to the scene while remaining authentic, intentional, and inclusive. NEVER ENOUGH is the record of summer 2025, and in all the right ways, everyone loves it. If you haven’t taken the time to transcend into a serenity of chaos with Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH, I highly encourage you to do so.
