UPSAHL Rocks the Upstairs Room at White Oak Music Hall with KiNG MALA

Currently on her first headlining tour across North America, singer-songwriter UPSAHL from Phoenix, AZ plays an energetic set at Houston’s White Oak Music Hall with special guest KiNG MALA.

The 23-year old singer has been on the rise since the release of her debut EP in 2015, and has toured with bigger name acts like Phoenix, PVRIS and Yungblud. UPSAHL released her debut album Lady Jesus in 2021, and is now on her first headline tour across North America. She is known for hits like “Drugs” (another version was released with Two Feet) and “People I Don’t Like.”

The entire upstairs room at White Oak was full of high energy, and songstress KiNG MALA made sure to get the crowd ready for UPSAHL. KiNG MALA performed her known tracks like “she calls me daddy” and “cult leader,” which definitely hyped up the crowd. While fans waited for UPSAHL to take the stage, KiNG MALA stood by her merchandise table to meet fans, which always seems like a good time.

UPSAHL took the stage around 9 P.M, and fans absolutely lost it as everyone was screaming and jumping – someone in the front row also came prepared and set the scene with a bubble gun. UPSAHL slowly walked on to the stage and opened her set with the ambitious “Lady Jesus,” and continued to play other high-energy songs like “Monica Lewinsky” and “Money On My Mind.” She danced all over the stage and interacted with all of her fans by singing to their phones and taking selfies on fans’ phones. Towards the middle of her set, she jumped off from the stage and sang her songs from the crowd, where the crowd jumped and sang back to her.

For the encore, UPSAHL performed her viral hits “12345SEX,” “Lunatic” and “Drugs.” She won over the crowd with her effortless yet amazing stage presence, overall astounding persona and her powerful tunes. Her tour is set to end at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles on October 22nd, and will be touring across Europe through the end of the year. We hope she returns to Houston soon, and next time, in a bigger venue.
