Smino created a family reunion in Chicago at the Salt Shed with support from Kaicrewsade, Mamii, and Samara Cyn.
The St. Louis based rapper delivered when it came to selling out the whole Salt Shed in Chicago. With his most recent album Maybe In Nirvana, he dropped last December, he kicked off his 2025 tour with incredible set design of the front of a home. It showcased a story-like set with a BBQ grill and a functioning door through the house! With support from Mamii and Samara Cyn… Smino also brought out a Chicago based artist Kaicrewsade as the first opener to kick off the night.
















As the venue was filled to capacity, the fans’ excitement for the show was undeniable. Smino made his grand entrance coming through the door of the home. He began with “No L’s”, that had the crowd go insanely wild. From the front to the back of the Salt Shed carrying about 3,600 fans that were singing word for word.
Smino has a blend of R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap and Soul to his music that Chicago fans absolutely adore. He also performed tracks like “Matinee”, “Pro Freak”,”Hoe-nouns”and “KLINK”. Not to mention, an untitled song that is unreleased with Chance the Rapper who made a special appearance during his set that also performed “No Problem” which was always a hit listening to live in the city of Chicago.
Sminos history in Chicago dates back to his past debut album, “blkswn” that is a tribute to Chicago and St. Louis, showcased as a blend of its influences. Pushing the boundaries of Chicago’s hip-hop sound, the city was always open arms for his shows when he would visit the city. As the closing song for this unpredictable night, he brought out Samara Cyn to perform their most newest single “brand new teeth” together then followed up with signing fans merchandise at the end of the show.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to enjoy this concert with a rollercoaster of surprises, there’s only a few shows left and will be finishing up the tour in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri this month.
