Hippie Sabotage Lights Up the South Side Ballroom

Openers Kembe X and Daisy Guttridge join headliner Hippie Sabotage at the South Side Ballroom in Dallas.

On March 22, duo Hippie Sabotage brought their Enter the Unknown tour to the South Side Ballroom in Dallas. On this tour, they are accompanied by rapper, Kembe X, and pop artist, Daisy Guttridge. Thousands of excited fans filled the venue wearing colorful festival and rave wear.

Kembe X, a hip-hop artist from Chicago, was the first act to hit the stage. Kembe X has more than half a million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his track “Cozy Forever” has accumulated almost four million streams. Earlier this month, he released a collaboration album with Hippie Sabotage titled Sleep Paralysis. Kembe X gave an electric performance, and also filmed a music video during his last song.

The second act of the night was Daisy Guttridge, a singer-songwriter from England. Her track “i found u” has gathered more than a million streams on Spotify, and she released her latest EP titled Tell All My Friends last year. Daisy gave an upbeat performance, and sang fan favorite songs such as “Cashmere” and “Designer Tears.”

The last act to hit the stage was Hippie Sabotage, an electronic duo from California. They have more than seven million monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Devil Eyes” has over seven hundred million streams. This year Hippie Sabotage has released a series of singles, including “Shallow” and “Road Rage.” The duo’s stage setup was extensive, which allowed fun and colorful visuals to display on the screens throughout their set. Both group members, Kevin and Jeff Saurer, frequently switched places behind the DJ booth and interacted with the crowd. Jeff Saurer also played the guitar, and performed groovy and captivating riffs. Overall, all three acts brought the charm and energy to the South Side Ballroom.
