Opening for Orion 224 at Haltom Theater, Torched has new music coming along with a fast growing fanbase in North Texas.
From seeing Mom Jeans live in 2021, local favorite alt rock band Torched was created. Originally from Denton Texas, the group of four made their way to Haltom City in support of Orion 224 from Houston as well as venturing into San Marcos. By looking into the audience Torched has progressively gained a bigger and wider audience every show.
The crowd makes it known who they are there for with their Torched shirts sprinkled within the room. By the end of their show, it felt like every other person in the room was wearing a Torched shirt. As the four made their way to the stage, the front of the crowd cleared making way for a shirtless stranger to dance and mosh. He moshed so hard he tapped out mid set on a bench on the side of the crowd. There was dancing, jumping, cheering in a way that by the end everyone felt united as if they had known eachother forever.
Vocalist Grayson Aron holds this passion within him when he is in the limelight. Aron has a strong love for what he does and it reflects on how he plays, sings and even how he interacts with fans. After their set they stayed around and was one with the crowd. Bassist Logan Ramsey has a humble presence to him. The dynamic and chemistry within this group is unlike any other. Guitarist Nickalas Giles stands in the corner taking beer breaks between songs and making playing guitar look easy. Giles plays almost effortlessly while looking like it’s no big deal as well as drummer Bradley Johnson. Johnson hangs in the back but is not unseen. He plays the drums so smoothly, the band seems seamless.
Although there is no released music on streaming platforms yet, the group is making a big effort to change that in the coming months with their first single releasing mid November with word of lots of other music on Spotify and Apple music. The big changes and growth within this band also involves photographer and videographer Kylie Green. Green has made a big contribution to Torched and has been along for the ride for a while with her insane talent. The music as well as media has become more intricate and advanced with Green in the mix. The band acts like a big family.
“We hope to make a career out of doing what we love,” Grayson Aron said.“Torched is all of our passion and we hope to soon be playing venues like House of Blues.”
