Cold War Kids Celebrates 20 Years at House of Blues Dallas

Cold War Kids brings their latest tour to Dallas, celebrating their newest album and 20 years of their music

With Cold War Kids right in the middle of their latest tour, they brought their 10th studio album to the House of Blues in Dallas. With the indie band being around for so long, there was a wide variety of ages that came to see their favorite band, both kids and adults alike. They created this tour to not only celebrate their “self-titled” album, which they released back in November of 2023, but to celebrate 20 years of making music and their impression on the world of indie music. Cold War Kids has not only helped to shape indie music over the years but has inspired countless bands and singers to find their sound and join the genre as well. When hearing the set list live, it truly puts into perspective just how much their music has been in the indie spotlight over the years and how it has kept up with the changes in indie music over time as well. It also shows how much their fans enjoy their music, as the crowd was very energetic and singing along and dancing to every song.

One of the openers on the tour was Hovvdy, an indie pop duo from Austin, Texas, which was also very popular with the crowd that night and the duo was very excited to be on tour with Cold War Kids. They were able to play singles that had just been released before the start of the tour and fans were very excited to hear them for the first time live. Overall the show at the House of Blues in Dallas was a very pleasing one to their fans and they hope that that Cold War Kids will soon make their way back to the DFW area. Both Hovvdy and Cold War Kids can be found on all major music streaming platforms and any fan of theirs would highly recommend you check out their new music.
