Opener Estevie and headliner Ariel & The Culture perform at the iconic Kessler Theater in Dallas.
Last weekend, Mexican-American artist Ariel & The Culture kicked off their “Beso Beso” tour at the Kessler Theater in Dallas. At this date, the band was joined by Latin pop artist Estevie. Upon entering the venue, the attendees were greeted by a looping graphic in the main room that stated “we are la cultura” and “somos la cultura”. Local comedian Hector Sifuentes hosted the show, and got the audience hyped up for the two main acts. Estevie was the first musician to hit the stage, and she donned a cowboy hat, boots, and silver accessories. She was accompanied by her guitarist, and delivered mesmerizing vocals while dancing along to the beat. She performed several fan favorite songs, including “Triste Verano”, “Que Vuelvas / Bebe Dame”, and “Canela”.
Next up was Ariel & The Culture, which is composed of Ariel and his bassist and drummer. The band played a mixture of tracks from their two latest albums NOSTALGIA and buena vista! Near the end of their set, Ariel brought a couple of surprise guests onto the stage to sing, including Estevie and local rap group Chroma. Overall, the show gave the attendees a sense of community and identity within the beautiful Oak Cliff neighborhood.
