From his beloved role in Abbott Elementary as Tariq to songs like “Jesus Is the One (I Got Depression),” Zack Fox is an artist who breaks all the rules. He is now conquering the DJ world with sets that make everyone from a child to a granny, bust a move. Zack Fox is now on his Fall Tour with other great DJs.
As soon as you stepped into Houston’s White Oak Music Hall, the room was packed from every angle with the flyest folks in Houston. Fashion was definitely something that the city wanted to show off that night.
The crowd was lively and ready to have a good time. The opening DJs were IDKRYAN, Hyperace, and Amarji King. These DJs are well known and respected in their world, so to have this level of talent warm up the night for Zack Fox was truly a great way to start the party.

Around 10 p.m., the man of the hour stepped on stage. Immediately, the crowd gave him a warm welcome. Zack Fox acknowledged the Houston crowd and thanked them for showing out.
The DJ set truly felt like a house party, with people smiling, dancing, and sweating their worries away throughout the whole night. Fox pointed out that many of the songs he played came from the Black and queer community, and how without their influence, this wouldn’t have been possible. It was great of him to give credit where credit is due, to the communities who made the house scene what it is today.
A highlight of the night was when Amarji King joined Zack Fox on stage and they played their set together. They fed off each other’s energy while still respecting each other’s craft. Their set together was truly so fun to hear.

If you are looking for a night filled with dancing and a good time, I definitely recommend you catch one of Zack Fox’s shows. Don’t forget your comfy shoes!
