Tokyo Police Club Says Goodbye at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas

Opener Born Ruffians accompanies headliner Tokyo Police Club at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas.

Last week, rock band Tokyo Police Club continued The Final Tour at the Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas, Texas. For this part of the tour, they were joined by indie band Born Ruffians. Inside of the venue, hundreds of fans of all ages congregated on the floor and balcony. Before the show started, attendees grabbed drinks, lined up for merch, and discussed how many times they’ve seen the bands live.

The first act to hit the stage was Born Ruffians, a rock band from Ontario. Born Ruffians has almost 150 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Needle” has accumulated more than 15 million streams. This year, the band released their single titled “What A Ride.” Born Ruffians was composed of four members: lead singer Luke Lalonde, bassist Mitch DeRosier, drummer Steve Hamelin and keyboardist Maddy Wilde. They opened with their song “Foxes Mate for Life,” which was followed by “Breathe.” During their set, Born Ruffians mesmerized the audience with their powerful vocals, catchy instrumentals, and strong stage presence.

The last act to hit the stage was Tokyo Police Club, an indie band from Ontario. Tokyo Police Club has almost 300 thousand monthly listeners on Spotify, and their track “Your English Is Good” has garnered more than 14 million streams. This year, the band released two singles titled “Just A Scratch” and “Catch Me If You Can.” Tokyo Police Club’s stage design incorporated a variety of lights, which created an exciting, colorful atmosphere. They opened with their song “Favourite Food,” which was then followed by “Favourite Colour.” Their setlist covered their vast discography, and featured both old and new fan favorite tracks. All in all, Tokyo Police Club made their last ever show in Dallas one to never forget.
