Fresh off the release of their first album of original music in nearly two decades, the world’s longest serving rock band, The Rolling Stones, is setting off on tour in 2024. Over the weekend, hints and teasers began to emerge around the country, with the iconic tongue logo popping up at landmarks including Houston’s own “We Love Houston” sculptures and even on Aston Martin’s F1 cars at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The Stones last venture to the States came in 2021, with a handful of dates at the tail end of the years long No Filter Tour, which saw the band’s first shows after the passing of longtime drummer Charlie Watts.
Hackney Diamonds, the band’s new album, was released in October of this year to widespread critical acclaim, with many considering it to be their best work in decades. With a star-studded roster of guest artists, including Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Lady Gaga, the record also features two tracks with Watts, as well as one with former bassist Bill Wyman.
Produced by Andrew Watt, who’s had a recent run of getting legendary acts back into the studio including Ozzy Osbourne and Iggy Pop, the album’s 12 tracks each harken back to a past era of the Stones, from the almost punk-rock “Bite My Head Off” to the lengthy ballad “Sweet Sounds of Heaven.”
The Stones kick off their 2024 tour on April 28th at Houston’s NRG Stadium, with general sale starting on 12/1.

I'm a Houston-based concert and automotive photographer. I've been a music fan my whole life, and previously was the director for Coog Radio, the University of Houston's student radio station. I listen to a bit of everything, from blues to rock to EDM, but predominantly metal. Some favorites include Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. When I'm not behind the camera, you can catch me skating, going to car events, and buying too many coffee table books.
