The Offspring visited Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on August 23 with special guests New Found Glory and Jimmy Eat World.
Formed in 1984, The Offspring is a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. With over ten studio albums, the band has been a household name for decades. Their latest album Supercharged was released in October of last year. The Offspring visited Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion with support from New Found Glory and Jimmy Eat World, and put on an unbelievable performance.
New Found Glory got the night started with their high energy performance. The pop-punk band from Florida performed many of their greatest tracks, including their most famous songs “All Downhill From Here.” Songs like “My Friends Over You” got the crowd pumped for the incredible show to come.

Next up was Jimmy Eat World. Well known for their catchy pop-punk music, the group made for a perfect opener to The Offspring. They played fan-favorite tunes including “Bleed American” and “Sweetness”. They wrapped things up with “The Middle”, a song that everyone in the audience knew and loved.
Finally, The Offspring took to the stage, causing the audience to howl in excitement. They opened up with “Come Out and Play”, a popular track from their 1994 hit album Smash. This was immediately followed by “All I Want” and “Want You Bad”, two more of The Offspring’s most well known songs. The performance was insanely energetic from the start, and the band’s two founding members Dexter Holland and Noodles had fantastic chemistry on stage.

The Offspring played a few covers including “Paranoid” and “Crazy Train” as a tribute to the late and great Ozzy Osbourne. They also performed the punk rock classic “I Wanna Be Sedated” by Ramones. This was followed by an absolutely mind-blowing drum solo by Brandon Pertzborn. A piano was rolled out onto the stage, and Dexter sang “Gone Away”, a heartbreaking song he wrote about loss and grieving.
The remainder of the concert, however, was very upbeat and loud. The Offspring played “Why Don’t You Get a Job?”, “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, before exiting the stage. When the band returned, they were met with cheers and screams from fans excited for an encore. They performed their most famous song “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” and wrapped things up with “Self Esteem”.

The concert was awesome and everyone at the packed venue had a great time. The Supercharged Worldwide In ‘25 Tour will continue until early September with the last show being in Denver, Colorado.
