The Mystical Dark Ceremony Festival Transforms Houston Into A Hypnotic Haze State

The darkwave and post-punk music event, Dark Ceremony Festival unleashes a hauntingly and spellbounding night in Houston, Texas at White Oak Music Hall.

Houston’s very first darkwave and goth music event of the year presented a large influx of fans at the sold out “Dark Ceremony” Festival. The event was held at White Oak Music Hall with artists performing in both the Upstairs and Downstairs rooms of the venue, fully encompassing to its top capacity. The full lineup of the most bewitching artists included Clan of Xymox, Urban Heat, Twin Tribes, Chameleons, Glass Spells, Autumn, Lathe of Heaven, Haunt Me, Curse Mackey, and Sine. 

Every artist performed an enchanting and captivating set that immediately sent fans under their spell by their dark synth pop melodies that echoed in the airwaves. Within each set, the crowd was a collective sea of goth inspired clothing and makeup along with many post-punk band tees rocking out with doc martens. The alluring atmosphere in the rooms as each band played their set was an experience that fans will never forget. There were numerous concert-goers dancing and singing along to their favorite bands. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and discover new friends and artists along the way. Fans were continuously switching from each room to catch the next set which was a hard task to do as it was back to back. Nonetheless, the anticipation and rising energy within the music venue was an alluring atmosphere that entranced fans into a moonstruck hypnosis.
