The Hails Rock Out at House of Blues Houston

The Hails at House of Blues Houston.

The Bronze Peacock always feels like the perfect spot for a show like this. Small room, good crowd, everyone ready to have a good time. The set had a nice flow. The Hails are an indie rock band with a mix of R&B and alternative rock. The band consists of Robbie Kingsley (vocals), Franco Solari (guitar), Dylan McCue (guitar), Andre Escobar (bass), and Zach Levy (drums).

The Hails’ music combines groovy rhythms, soulful vocals, and catchy melodies, making their live shows both energetic and immersive. They kicked things off with “Sippin’ on the Daylight”, which was the perfect way to ease into the night. It set the mood without being too in-your-face. Then they jumped into “When You Were Bored” and “Heaven”, and that’s when the energy in the room really picked up. People started moving, singing, fully getting into it.

One of the best things about The Hails is how easily they shift between moods. Each of the members had something beautiful to share in the way they perform and play music. Some songs make you want to dance, some just wash over you in the best way. “Fiona” and “Different Guy” brought a groove that had people swaying, while “Caligula” and “Younger” slowed things down. The band’s chemistry was undeniable. You could tell they weren’t just playing their songs, they were having fun with them.

The crowd’s energy fed from the bands. “Breathless” and “Sugar,” two of their most well known hits had the entire room singing along. When they came back for their encore and started “Mr. Brightside,” the place went wild. Everyone knows that song, but hearing The Hails put their spin on it made it feel fresh. It was the kind of moment that reminded you why live music is so much fun.

After the set, the vibe was just as good. The band hung around, chatting with fans and taking pictures. No one was in a hurry to leave. It was the kind of night that felt effortless in the best way and made the bands connection with their fans even more genuine. Just a band playing great music, a crowd giving it right back, and a room full of people who didn’t want it to end.

I am super passionate about all things art and music and cannot wait to continue sharing that with the world.
