SXSW 2026: Spotify House at Stubb’s Amphitheater

Spotify celebrated their 20th anniversary at Stubb’s Amphitheater during SXSW 2026, and featured suprise guests Alanis Morissette, Ella Langley and St. Vincent.

Spotify House at SXSW 2026 was part of Spotify’s larger 20th-anniversary celebration, transforming Stubb’s Amphitheater in Austin into a hub for live music and fan connection. Spotify House returned, blending performances, panels, and curated experiences highlighting both established icons and emerging artists. It reflects Spotify’s core mission—bringing creators and fans closer together, all while tapping into SXSW’s global mix of music, film, and innovation.

Each year features well-known acts, and this year was no different. On top of upgrading the hub to Stubb’s on Red River, the lineup included Alanis Morissette, Ella Langely, and St. Vincent (DJ-ONLY) – all female artists who have defined their respective genres in one way or another.

Ella Langley brought an infectious sense of joy to her sole SXSW set, clearly thrilled to be on stage. Fans in full cowgirl fits matched the crowd’s excitement and the vibe of Langley’s music perfectly. The singer performed well known tracks like “you look like you love me” and “Choosin’ Texas,” as well as some unreleased songs from her upcoming album Dandelion, out in April. With her southern twang, it’s clear to see how Ella Langley is a major staple in the modern country-pop world.

Up next was the iconic Alanis Morissette, who delivered one of SXSW’s most unforgettable sets – a true gem of the festival. Performing to a packed, at-capacity crowd, the Canadian singer brought a thrilling mix of nostalgia that immediately took hold of the room. Opening with “Hand in My Pocket,” Morissette set the tone for a night that felt deeply intimate.

Her performance lit up Austin as it was lively, reminding everyone why her music has endured for decades. Although Morissette rarely said a word to the city of Austin, the crowd hung onto every lyric. Then came a major surprise: during “You Oughta Know,” she unexpectedly brought out Texas-based indie-rock singer St. Vincent (who was manning the turntables earlier in the night), sending the audience into a frenzy.

From start to finish, it was the kind of set people will be talking about long after SXSW ends. Kudos, Spotify!
