Still Woozy brought the Loveseat Tour to the South Side Ballroom in Dallas, transforming the venue into a colorful celebration of music and energy. With support from Gus Dapperton and Paw Paw Rod, the evening was a fusion of sound, connection, and pure joy.
The Portland-based indie-pop artist most recently released his second album Loveseat earlier this year. Building on the psychedelic and R&B-infused sound that defined his debut and a series of singles since 2017, the new album continues to explore his distinctive style.
Opening the night was PawPawRod, a viral sensation known for his hit debut single “HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS,” which masterfully blends rap, ’60s soul, and house music.
The next performer was New York native Gus Dapperton, whose electrifying and smooth moves showcased his undeniable talent as an entertainer. As he sang and played guitar and synths, he delivered a captivating choreographed dance routine alongside his pianist, leaving the audience mesmerized and eager for more.
As they quickly transitioned to the final act of the evening Sven Gamsky, better known as Still Woozy, kicked off his set with an explosive burst of energy that never waned making it impossible to stand still in the crowd.
The room buzzed with energy, as fans eagerly immersed themselves in his laid-back sound.The stage design perfectly captured the cozy, laid-back atmosphere of a living room, with window-like structures in the background and playful flower doodles scattered across the backdrop along with giant cut-out flowers reminiscent of the Loveseat album cover,. With gems from previous projects like “Kenny,” “That’s Life” and “Cooks” the crowd was treated to all of the best hits. Woozy’s music transitioned effortlessly to the live stage, and combined with a thoughtfully curated setlist and an inviting atmosphere making it one of an extremely memorable show.
