Doc Martens Showcase at Clive Bar

Our team arrived at the function in time to catch the last two songs from Lime Garden’s performance. The vibes were set to a bilingual set by the band Divino Niño from Chicago. Their set included songs from their newly released album, Last Spa on Earth including “Nos Soltamos” and “XO”. Japanese artist HARU NEMURI followed on stage where the scene quickly became a party as she invited three other artists to join her performance. Soon after, John the DJ continued to pump up the vibes as the crowd was endowed as a “family” and taught some dance moves while introducing Armani White. A fan traded his Biggie imprinted button-down for Armani’s pullover hoodie, while a saxophone player joined the stage to compliment the jams. – Emily Martinez and Keylee Paz

Rolling Stone’s Future of Music – Day Three

Sudan Archives’ talent was truly a sight to behold. She took the stage as a solo act and delivered a performance suitable for the books. The ACL Live venue increasingly filled up throughout her rendition of songs including “Confessions” and “Not For Sale”. Sudan sang and danced whilst playing the violin and even enticed the crowd to do some back and forth singing with her. Mariah The Scientist followed the stage, getting fans in their feelings with her songs on heartbreak and romance. Remi Wolf closed off the night with an exuberant display of good vibes and engaged the crowd from every angle. Her set included just about everything, from questions to the audience, short story-time, and affirmations from the drummer. – Emily Martinez and Keylee Paz

C23 Live Presented by NME x BOSE

C23 was packed front to back, all until the event had to be evacuated due to severe weather warnings. It stormed for about an hour, until the skies were clear. The event resumed shortly after, with the remaining artists still set to perform. As soon as the doors opened, electropop duo Jockstrap took the stage and played an energetic set. The crowd began to pile up as soon as their set ended, as everyone was preparing for the main acts of the night. Flo Milli walked on stage while a voiceover of Tiffany “New York” Pollard introduced her, and everyone immediately got hype. She performed songs from her latest album You Still Here, Ho? and hits like “Conceited” and “Beef FloMix” This was the rapper’s first ever show in Texas, and it was indeed, a memorable one.  – Keylee Paz
