Silverstein put on a high-energy show in San Antonio for their “25 Years Of Noise” Tour and talk about their love for the city.

Canadian emo band Arm’s Length took the stage to kick off the night. The band was excited about this tour with Silverstein, mentioning how it’s their first time performing for bigger crowds. The band performed 7 songs, mainly from their album Never Before Seen, Never Found Again. Along with known songs, they also performed one of their most recent debut singles, “Funny Face”. Arm’s Length is set to play even bigger crowds when they hit the stage at When We Were Young Fest in Vegas later this year.

Iconic New Jersey band Thursday was next to hit the stage. Thursday is known as a band with high energy which definitely showed. Geoff Rickly’s amazing vocals and high-energy immediately got fans to mosh and crowd surf. The band played hits such as “Signals Over The Air”, “Taking Inventory of A Frozen Lake”, and “Understanding In A Car Crash”. Thursday ended their set with their most iconic hit, “War All The Time”.

Once 9:35 hit, the band opened with a very nostalgic and bittersweet intro video, talking about the days of burning CDs, MySpace, and Limewire. It also featured old videos and pictures of the band’s beginning, and then out came Silverstein. The crowd screaming louder than the band’s own microphones.

The band started their set with “Skin & Bones” and “Confession”, both of which are brand new singles from their new album set to release soon. The band’s setlist contained 2 songs from each of their album ranging from their whole discography, celebrating 25 years of the band. Lead singer Shane Told talked about the band hitting this big milestone and what the fans’ support has meant to them all these years throughout the band’s growth. He even talked about how much they love visiting and performing in cities like San Antonio and Austin.

The crowd’s energy never once faltered throughout the whole night. Constant moshing, screaming, jumping, singing, and chanting the band’s name over and over again. Shane Told even said that he felt speechless seeing the crowd. The City of San Antonio made sure to show up for the band.

Silverstein played more of their hits like, “Vices”, “Infinite”, “Call It Karma”, “The Afterglow” and tons more. The band even had an encore with an acoustic performance of “My Heroine” and ended with 2 more songs, “Smashed Into Pieces” and “Bleeds No More”. The night ended with confetti all over the venue floor.

Silverstein has already announced their Spring run for the tour and have announced 2 new albums. Antibloom which will be released on February 21st, and Pink Moon which will be released later this year.

I am a photographer, musician, and cosplayer, based in Austin! I spend a lot of time traveling around for events, and am constantly creating things, listening to music, playing bass guitar, or finding new hobbies to indulge in. I love being surrounded by music, and you can almost always catch me listening to some emo or pop-punk music.
