Christmas comes early this year for Reyna fans with the release of their Christmas single along with a nostalgic holiday music video.
There is more than meets the eye with Reyna. This duo isn’t just two badass women in music, they are also sisters who have been making music together for almost their entire lives. Victoria and Hannah (aka Gab) Banuelos started playing shows at a young age under the name of Vic and Gab. As their music style evolved, they emerged as the ever-fitting Reyna (which means ‘Queen’ in spanish). These singer-songwriter sisters are known for staying true to their Mexican roots by seamlessly sprinkling in Spanish lyrics in most of their songs. Not only does the duo write and sing songs, they play multiple instruments on stage and have a streak of creating/directing their own music videos.
Reyna has an impressive list of achievements, such as artist features on Billboard, Billboard Pride, Nylon, GQ, and Rolling Stone. They have also earned spots on some of Spotifiy’s hottest playlists such as “Indie Pop,” and “New Music Friday,” and were also the cover artists for Spotify’s “Latinx Indie Rising” playlist. This indie-pop duo is also set to make an appearance at Austin’s SXSW 2022 Music Festival.
It felt like the most comforting thing in the world yet something that so out of reach at the time.

This Holiday season, Reyna gift their fans a christmas-inspired single and music video called “Home Alone.” According to Reyna, the single derived from their nostalgic feelings during the holidays, as they always tend to miss their family in Texas and Mexico. The feelings were more “amplified” in the last year due to travel restrictions, so the duo would curl up on the couch to watch the film Home Alone. The song captures all of these feelings into one dynamic track, and it’s a perfect way to get in the Christmas Spirit.
