Pop-Punk Trio Meet Me @ The Altar Perform a Lively Show at House of Blues Houston

If you don’t know who this rockin’ band is yet, you will soon enough. Meet Me @ the Altar is currently on their first headlining tour across the United States, promoting their debut album Past // Present // Future.

This pop-punk all-female band was signed to Fueled by Ramen in 2021, and they were the immediate face of the new emo wave. Meet Me @ the Altar consists of members singer Edith Victoria, guitarist Téa Campbell and drummer Ada Juarez, who formed the trio in 2015. Since they released multiple singles like “Feel a Thing” and “Hit Like a Girl,” their new rendition of the pop-punk genre captured the heart of fans around the world, which led to their debut album release earlier this year. After opening for so many hit bands in the scene like MUNA and Green Day, they finally sought out on their first headlining tour.

Throughout their set, they played multiple new songs from the album including “Try” and “A Few Tomorrows.” They also played fan-favorites like “Garden” and “Feel a Thing.” The band had such amazing chemistry with each other and the fans, and the best part of the show had to be their shortened cover’s of all of their favorite songs (“You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morrisette, “Complicated” by Avril Lavigne” and “Take Me Away” from the Freaky Friday (2002) soundtrack).

Overall, Meet Me @ The Altar is on the rise and there is no stopping them. While they played the smaller stage at House of Blues, we hope to see them next door or at a bigger venue next time they visit Houston.
