Pierce The Veil Play a Sold Out Show at 713 Music Hall in Houston

Pierce the Veil take on 713 Music Hall with the support of opening bands Destroy Boys, Dayseeker and L.S. Dunes on their Jaws Of Life Tour.

From San Diego, California, Pierce the Veil have become a rock music staple over the past decade and a half. On February 10, 2023, the band released their fifth studio album The Jaws Of Life. They kicked off their tour of the same name on November 4 and visited Houston on November 12th to play a sold out show.

Destroy Boys, the first opener of the night, put on an energetic performance. The Californian punk rock band played their biggest hits including “Crybaby” and “I Threw Glass at My Friend’s Eyes and Now I’m on Probation”. The band also performed their newest single “Shadow (I’m Breaking Down)”, released on July 13.

Following was a performance by post-hardcore band Dayseeker, also from California. They played several of their popular tracks such as “Sleeptalk” and “Burial Plot”. The band had outstanding chemistry on stage and upped the excitement as the night progressed.

Pierce the Veil’s final opener, L.S. Dunes, is a rock supergroup composed of artists from iconic bands including My Chemical Romance and Coheed and Cambria. Formed in Chicago, Illinois in 2020, the group is fairly new to the scene and made for a great addition to the night’s lineup of artists.

Pierce the Veil kicked off their set with the track “Death of an Executioner” as fog machines and confetti went off. Halfway through the show, frontman Vic Fuentes pulled a lucky fan from the audience and thanked them for listening to the band and coming to the show, then generously gifted his guitar to them. As the set continued, the band played a handful of popular songs including “Bulletproof Love”, “So Far So Fake” and “The Jaws Of Life”. Pierce the Veil returned for an encore at the end of the night, playing “Besitos” and “King For A Day”, their most popular song.

The Jaws Of Life Tour will continue until December 8, with the last show being in the band’s hometown of San Diego, California.
