Summer is about to get lit – Pierce the Veil most recently embarked on their ‘I Can’t Hear You’ World Tour in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Pierce the Veil began their journey in 2006 in San Diego, California. Brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes blended their raw, emotional sound that they previously established in their initial band titled Before Today. Pierce the Veil’s intense sound swiftly gained a large following on platforms like MySpace, marking their rapid early success. The releases of their cult classic albums A Flair for the Dramatic (2007) and Selfish Machines (2010) launched their career, and they never looked back.
Throughout their early career, the band constantly toured with other iconic pop-punk / hardcore bands like Neck Deep, Blessthefall, All Time Low, and more. Subsequently, Pierce the Veil later released the melancholic Collide with the Sky in 2012, followed by the more gritty Misadventures in 2016. However, throughout the years, they faced an intense lineup change and numerous personal issues. Despite these challenges, the band responded in the most respectful way by taking accountability and taking action. As a result, the band has come back better than ever, fully charged and ready to rock, as heard in the nostalgic post-hardcore album The Jaws of Life.
After promoting their latest album continuously with multiple world tours, the ‘I Can’t Hear You’ World Tour is different. It’s meant to serve as a time travel through their momentous discography, all the way from the very beginning. From deep cuts from their iconic A Flair for the Dramatic to the atmospheric layers of Misadventures, the setlist has something for everyone. Who doesn’t want to hear their favorite forgotten gem?
The tour also features the legendary Sleeping with Sirens, who formed around the same time and share a frequent association with Pierce the Veil. Sleeping with Sirens began in the same scene as Pierce the Veil, and are often two of the bands that phased the modern emo age in the 2010s. With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear (2009) and Feel (2013) showcase Sleeping with Sirens’ known rage-fueled anthems and memorable post-hardcore style. Lead singer Kellin Quinn also has a collaboration with the headliners, the iconic track ‘King for a Day.’
Pierce the Veil’s North American leg will also feature pop-punk newcomers Daisy Grenade and pop-rock band Beach Weather as supporting acts. This summer tour is the best way to relieve your 2010 emo dreams, and have the chance to witness Pierce the Veil’s first solo headline amphitheater tour. On top with amazing support acts, you need to prepare for an evening that will absolutely blow your mind!
