Photo Gallery: St. Vincent Takes Over the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall

The first words spoken to the crowd by St. Vincent, three songs into her headlining set at Houston’s White Oak Music Hall were “I don’t know how to break this to you, but I’m from Dallas.” Sporting her signature guitar by Music Man, the six time Grammy Award winner entranced the crowd, as the final rays of sunlight disappeared behind her.

Her first venture to the Bayou City since 2018, St. Vincent brought her brand of distortion-heavy rock to White Oak’s lawn stage. The packed house ate up every riff, fill, and lyric throughout St. Vincent’s 17-song set, including “Reckless,” “Los Ageless,” and “Flea.”

Closing out the show with “All Born Screaming,” and “Candy Darling,” the singer gave the crowd a night to remember.

I'm a Houston-based concert and automotive photographer. I've been a music fan my whole life, and previously was the director for Coog Radio, the University of Houston's student radio station. I listen to a bit of everything, from blues to rock to EDM, but predominantly metal. Some favorites include Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Metallica. When I'm not behind the camera, you can catch me skating, going to car events, and buying too many coffee table books.
