Stage Crashers Disrupt Morrissey Show in Dallas, Bodyguard Injured

On November 3rd, Morrissey performed at Dallas’ Fair Park Music Hall and ended the night abruptly after being rushed by fans on stage, consequently injuring a member of his bodyguard team.

The opening of the night went smoothly with Morrissey playing several of the songs from his  original discography along with a handful of hits from his days in The Smiths. From playing several hits such as “Shoplifters Of The World” and “How Soon Is Now,” Moz was captivating his fans’ attention from start to finish.

After he began “First Of The Gang To Die,” the chaos came in swift waves – several fans in the front row climbed over a non-existent barricade to join him on stage. For the most part, this was relatively tame, with the handful of pit crashers only making momentary contact with him, and then quickly being stopped by his security team.

However, there was one attendee who stood out and was highly disruptive, it was this crasher who managed to make contact with him knocking his microphone out of his hand along with injuring a member of his bodyguard team, causing him to limp off the stage after before the crasher was escorted off by security.

However, it appears no further injuries were sustained at this time.

This incident is reminiscent of a notable fan disturbance that took place at the Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego in 2018.

After this, an announcement was declared over the loudspeaker for the crowd to evacuate, ending the show prematurely. Currently, no action has been taken against the concertgoer, however, this could change as events continue to unfold, and a motive has not yet been identified for the crasher’s actions.

As of now, Morrissey’s team has not released a press statement, and we here at Off Record Media have reached out to Fair Park Music Hall for a statement and are currently awaiting a response. It is yet to be clear how this will affect Morrissey and his upcoming shows, but we will keep you updated as new information continues to be released.
