WHY NOT releases their debut album weeks after releasing their final single, “You’re My Kind.”
The buzz surrounding the trio is worth following as the band gains momentum with their newly self-titled album. The Minneapolis band WHY NOT is composed of Henry Breen, Isaac Dell, and Joshua MacGregor. They have been creating music since they were teens trying to live the dream – now, they are turning their dream into reality.
WHY NOT follows their EP VERY WHY NOT, which came out this past February. This album was produced by Caleb Hinz, who has also worked on songs for Hippo Campus, Samia, and Miloe. This ten-track project dives into the ins-and-outs/ups-and-downs of relationships and all the uncertainties they bring – easily giving you “main character in your own movie” vibes. The potential of this album becoming the soundtrack of your summer is exceedingly high, as there are both nostalgic emo/punk elements as well as a new indie/alternative feel that makes the perfect blend of sounds euphoric to the ears.
WHY NOT’s impressive talent is evident and the potential for their future creations is limitless. So far, the band has released videos for two of their incredible singles “IN LOVE WITH THE SOUND” and “TAKE A MINUTE.” WHY NOT shows no signs of slowing down as they recently announced their North American tour, which kicks off on May 26th in Portland, OR. The band will be celebrating their new album’s release as they showcase their overflowing talent and surely gain more fans along the way.
