Maude Latour soaks Club Dada in Sugar Water

Maude Latour stops by Dallas, TX with MARIS as her opener for the Sugar Water Tour.

On Thursday, March 27th, Maude Latour visits Dallas to perform songs from her latest release, Sugar Water, at Club Dada. As soon as the doors opened, fans were rolling in wearing miniskirts, mesh tops, and dresses. Many had glitter and gemstones on their faces, while others had sparkly highlight across their cheeks. With the venue’s capacity of around four hundred, this offered fans an intimate show that also felt personal and connected.

Once the lights turned off and preshow music stopped, Maude came out wearing a Dallas Cowboys jersey and began singing “Officially Mine”. The crowd’s energy became alive and started singing along, with excitement buzzing all around the room. During multiple parts of the night, Maude interacted with the crowd by bringing out a water gun and spraying everyone with “Sugar Water”.

About halfway through her set, during the song “Save Me”, Maude stepped off the stage, came into the crowd to sing in the middle of the audience, and told everyone to put their hands up. Later on, Maude also had a small bouquet of roses that she threw out to give fans. At one point, Maude came out with a flowing veil that she used to drape her body with, creating a dreamy visual. She also had a few outfit changes, including a red / white reflective crop top and a disco ball-esque outfit.

By the end of the night, it was clear that Dallas truly enjoyed Maude’s performance. The crowd had their final cheering that seemed to be nonstop. Maude delivered a night that was full of pop tunes and unforgettable moments.

I’m a photographer based in Dallas, Texas, studying Communication Design at Collin College. I love spending time with my two cats, watching movies, or taking moments to recharge and reflect. A fun fact about me is that I used to play the trumpet, and it's a skill I still look back on with fond memories. Some of my favorite artists are Lorde, Charli xcx, Blood Orange, and Sara King.
