Lyn Lapid puts on a memorable performance at the iconic Antone’s in Austin, Texas, following a heartfelt acoustic set by Sabrina Sterling that set the tone for an unforgettable night.
On a warm summer night in Austin, the iconic venue Antone’s transformed into a haven for heartfelt storytelling and youthful exuberance as Lyn Lapid took the stage with opener Sabrina Sterling. The downtown venue, known for its rich musical history, played host to a much younger crowd than usual—eager fans who were excited from the moment the doors opened.
Sabrina Sterling opened the evening with a stripped-down set that felt intimate. Alone on stage with just her guitar and beautiful vocals, she delivered a series of deeply personal songs that immediately captivated the room. Between songs, she shared stories about the meaning behind her lyrics, emphasizing themes of vulnerability, growth, and the importance of staying true to oneself. Her ability to connect with the crowd through both music and spoken word made for an incredibly touching start to the night.

Following Sabrina, there was an intense energy shift in the room. When Lyn Lapid stepped onto the stage, she was greeted by a wave of screams and applause. From the first beat, it was clear the audience knew every word, especially when she dove into some of her earlier songs from the vocal collective Earcandy. Lyn’s vocals were smooth and her stage presence was off the charts.
Highlights of the night included fan favorites like “Producer Man” and “Poster Boy,” where the crowd sang along so loudly it almost overpowered the band. Despite the high energy, Lyn carved out moments between songs, sharing pieces of her journey and how her music has always been shaped by her experiences.

The night was an even mix between vulnerability and vibrance. Sterling’s intimate confessional set opened the door and Lapid’s magnetic presence and finely tuned performance sealed the deal. For the crowd, there was a closeness that most shows could not provide. They received a true connection with their favorite artists.
