Linkin Park is back with a chilling comeback after a seven year hiatus, as they’ve announced a new album From Zero (available on November 15), and will be heading out on a short yet intimate tour.
Linkin Park has been teasing a comeback for a while, but when they dropped their newest single “The Emptiness Machine” with their newest vocalist, Emily Armstrong, fans knew something big was on its way. After seven years, Linkin Park is gracing the rock community with their newest album From Zero.
Along with that, fans were surprised to see Armstrong as the newest addition to the band. Seven years ago, their old vocalist, Chester Bennington, passed away, leading to the hiatus. Although there were rumors of Linkin Park seeking a female vocalist for months, it is even more exciting to see rock history happening in real time. Now, Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara is taking the reins, and is bringing the band back in action.
On Sept. 5th, the band dropped this new announcement during a performance, where they proudly had Armstrong taking the reign on their newest single. Her chilling vocals, paired with the bands musicality made Linkin Park feel just as exciting as it did years ago. Each song they debuted is sonically strong, and carries the same heavy emphasis as it did when they first began. It is clear that Linkin Park is here to expand on their legacy. Fans are excited for this comeback, and are ready to see their favorite band performing.
