Lexa Gates comes to Los Angeles for her first west coast performance.
Up-and-coming rapper and artist, Lexa Gates, dazzled fans with a sold out show at the Echoplex. Based in New York, Lexa Gates came to LA for a live concert, and solidified herself as an artist to keep an eye out for as she managed to sell out all her tickets to her loyal SoCal fanbase. She recently grabbed a lot of attention for being co-signed by SZA, after the “Saturn” artist commented under one of her Instagram reels.
Lexa started off the concert spotlighting a couple other female rap artists and DJs before performing her set, including artists cr1tter and Bbyafricka. Lexa then entered the stage with a bouquet of roses in hand, handing out flowers to the crowd. She continued to interact with her fans throughout the show, taking selfies with their phones, and being gifted another bouquet of flowers not long after giving away hers. During the song, “Lately, Nothing” she surprised the crowd by having Alé Araya come on stage to sing her verses. Her music created a sultry and nostalgic atmosphere, while depicting deeply personal and meaningful lyrics at the same time.
I am currently a student at Cal State Fullerton studying Cinema and Television Arts as well as Photocommunications and have lived in SoCal all my life! I have many creative and artistic hobbies and love expressing them through different visual art forms. I have always loved music and hope to become a creative director in the entertainment industry.
