Legendary duo Clipse stops by Houston’s White Oak Music Hall

After a 16-year hiatus, the legendary hip-hop Virginia brothers Pusha T and Malice released Let God Sort ’Em Out and embarked on a tour across the States with Atlanta duo EARTHGANG.

The White Oak Music Hall Lawn in Houston was a nearly sold-out crowd, where fans of all ages came together for the night to witness hip-hop game changers.

To open up the night, first up was Atlanta duo EARTHGANG, known for their sense of fashion and personification in music. They are signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville label and have built a strong fan base for years. Made up of members Olu and WowGr8, they are truly talented artists. They performed songs across their discography like “This Side,” “WATERBOYZ,” and fan favorite “Down Bad.” They brought electric energy for their Houston fans, and WowGr8 mentioned their stop at the infamous Buc-ee’s gas station. The Atlanta duo warmed up the crowd while holding their own as the talented performers they are.

Next on stage were the brothers of the hour, Clipse. The first to step onstage was Pusha T, and the crowd erupted in cheers. As a solo artist, Pusha T has been more prominent for the past decade as he continues to build on his legacy. After finishing up his verse on “Chains & Whips,” Malice stepped on stage to follow along. The duo fed off each other’s energy and swag throughout the night while also allowing each to get their own shine.

Clipse performed songs mainly off their newest album but also made sure to play from their past projects to satisfy their loyal fan base. Songs like “Popular Demand,” “What Happened to That Boy,” and “Virginia.”

It was great seeing Clipse continue to receive their flowers and recognition even after their 16-year hiatus in music as a duo. If you are ready to relive some nostalgia, make sure to catch them on tour!
