Latin superstar Becky G performed at Houston’s 713 Music Hall for the Casa Gomez Tour, in celebration her latest album titled Encuentros.
Hailing from California and proudly shining light on her Mexican roots, Becky G has been in the music industry for over 10 years. She is known for her pop hits while adding a Chicano flair. Now with her new album Encuentros, she has set the stage for a great tour.
The night settled in as fans made their way to the 713 Music Hall, with a majority of fans being Latinos to show support for one the biggest voices in the industry. The show was divided into three acts where the stage color and her outfits changed with it. She began the night with an red stage and a all white ensemble. Songs like “Mala Santa”, “FULANITO”, and “TAJIN” warmed up the crowd perfect for anight full of great music and dance.
On stage she was accompanied by backup dancers, a live band, and a stage set that resembled a house with many rooms. This stage set was a nod to her tour name CASA GOMEZ: OTRO CAPITULO Tour.
For her second act the stage color switched to a blue hue a band made of a guitar player, cellosist, trumpet, and accordion player slowed down the vibes of the night for Becky G’s ballads and romantic songs in her albums Encuentros and Esquinas. She truly showed of her live vocals and songwriting while talking to the crowd about the meaning of the songs.
The most memorable part of the night was her performance of Dolores. In this song she brings on a fan on stage to perform along side her. She tells the Houston crowd that the lucky fan of the night was celebrating her birthday weekend and to cheer her on. It was great seeing how she gives back to the fans and that she truly cares for them.
To end the night Becky G changed into a more streetwear style outfit and performed her biggest hits like “Becky From the Block”, “Mayores”, and “Shower”. This show was filled of great live intrumebntal;s, choreography, and beautiful moments with fans. Becky G continues to show why she is one the biggest latino artists currently.
