Haunted Mouths brings forth an unprecedented and evolutionary side of Kellin Quinn’s musical and songwriting career. Quinn contrasts his loud, raging, and post-hardcore stylistic sound with Sleeping With Sirens, Haunted Mouths is set to aspire towards a more psychedelic, abstract, and expansive narrative. With the upcoming album, the tracks are directed to portray an enigmatic range of performances.

Quinn has mentioned how near and dear that this record holds in his heart as he is bringing out his most sensitive and introspective thoughts. The album and the lead single, “…[“Further ‘Til We Disappear”] mentions many of my wife’s favourite things and different things we share. The whole record is a love letter to her. I didn’t want to make a pop album or an acoustic record. It needed to be dark, drony, haunting, but beautiful” (Wilson-Taylor 2025).

The single is a preview of an everlasting distorted melodic wave carrying the track. The engulfing the listener to a whirlpool that seems to beam life into the darkness of a night sky. The cascading and reverb synths and pianos adds to the intensity of the eeriness yet alluring ambiance, coinciding with the intimate and poetic lyricism.

“Love is a trip, it’s a child that we can’t manage. Let the waves crash and swell. Hold them in, try not to panic. Turn me on like a switch. Is it hard to imagine wе’re state of the art? Wе’re so state of the art.” depicts the rollercoaster of emotions and hardships about falling and being in love. It can be difficult to manage but once there’s a steady relationship of trust and communication, anything is possible. (From the chorus of “Further ‘Till We Disappear”)

The lo-fi sweetness and hypnotic production of the track and the songwriting makes it picturesque and visionary. From the first verse, the lush imagery immediately pulls listeners into Quinn’s world, making the song feel deeply personal yet universally relatable. It expands beyond the listener’s perception, painting a world rich with surreal imagery. Fans can imagine the scenarios in their head coming to life as they hear the song.

Quinn’s vocals are entrancing and raw, cutting down any outside influences letting the lyricism speak for itself. The moody yet serenading lullabies feels like you’re being wrapped around a warm blanket and being drifted off to sleep. “‘Til We Further Disappear” is a new direction where Quinn has mastered his musical talents.
