After releasing his latest album Voir Dire, Earl Sweatshirt stops in Dallas with The Alchemist to deliver fans a night they won’t forget.
With a line into the venue wrapping around the corner, more and more fans join the queue and wait to see the iconic musical duo Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist. Since 2013, Sweatshirt has released music and collaborated with artists including Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, and LUCKI. Similarly, producer The Alchemist is not new to the music scene, with tracks dating back to the late 90s and early 2000s and working with notable artists including (but not limited to) Lil Wayne, MAVI, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, and of course, Earl Sweatshirt.
As the venue fills up, openers Black Noi$e and MIKE start the show with party-like energy, keeping the crowd engaged as MIKE raps songs from newer and older albums. Asking the crowd to put their hands up, the arms of the crowd moved side to side as Black Noi$e laid out the tracks.
Not long after opener MIKE and Black Noi$e finish their set, the notorious Alchemist comes to the stage and does not hesitate to put on a show. Playing tracks he made with Mac Miller and more rap artists and individually produced tracks, the bass sent waves throughout the venue. The Alchemist played popular older tracks and exclusive and unreleased songs for Dallas fans to hear first. Eventually, Earl comes out and works with The Alchemist, rapping songs from Doris & Instrumentals, Some Rap Songs, and, of course, the most newly released album (in collaboration with The Alchemist), Voir Dire.
With brotherly-like love exchanged by the artists on stage, the fans were not the only ones who showed up to have a good time with a stage full of smiles and a crowd full of fans in a state of trance, consumed by the unique and perfectly flowing songs of Earl and The Alchemist.
With upcoming shows in Brooklyn, Boston, and Detroit, Earl Sweatshirt, The Alchemist, MIKE, and Black Noi$e are ready to bring a fun experience to fans across the United States.
I am currently attending the University of North Texas with a photojournalism major. I love going to concerts of all genres, whether I am stage diving or headbanging, I never miss an opportunity to appreciate live music. In my free time, I enjoy thrifting for CD's and records, spending time with my cats, going to art exhibits, and traveling (especially to NYC). My biggest inspiration is Danny Clinch, and one day I aspire to open up my own gallery to showcase my work!
