Jungle Brings “The Heat” to White Oak Music Hall in Houston

On October 7th, 2024, the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall transformed into a trancing experience when Jungle stopped by. Accompanying the British band at their Houston show of the Volcano World Tour was R&B singer, Bas.

Kicking off the show was Dreamville’s own, Bas. His dreamy vocals and high energy gave the crowd a nice start to the night. Throughout his set, the singer was sure to emphasize his gratefulness and love for the main act, stating he has been a fan since around 2014 and was super excited to be opening up for them.

Next up was the main act, Jungle. Starting off with, “Busy Earnin’,”Candle Flame” and “Dominoes,” the band wasted no time in getting Houston dancing. Not only did their music move and engage the crowd, but the stage did as well. With a beaming light show and a giant sign on top of the stage that read “JUNGLE,” the audience was entertained in all aspects.

While Jungle has been prominent in the dance scene since 2013, they skyrocketed in popularity after the release of their official music video for “Back on 74.” Their viral hit only grew their following, exposing more of the world to their amazing vibes. As the show continued, they performed hits such as “I’ve Been in Love,” “Casio” and “The Heat.” They even brought Bas back out to perform their song “Romeo” together.

Overall, Jungle gave an incredible show that kept Houston alive all night. Even after the show ended, the crowd was seen beaming with smiles all around. It was an unforgettable night led by an unforgettable band.

I am from Houston, Texas and currently attending the University of Houston as a marketing major! From attending concerts, playing guitar, and collecting vinyl, I love anything that has to do with music. Some of my favorite artists include The Strokes, Omar Apollo, and boygenius. Besides that, I really like shopping, watching Pitch Perfect, and discovering new places in Houston!
