Joshua Bassett brought The Golden Years Tour to Houston’s Bayou Music Center and set the stage on fire.
Saturday night kicked off with an incredible performance by Joshua Bassett. Bringing his The Golden Years Tour to Bayou Music Center, we knew we were in for a treat.
The show started off with an energized performance from Thomas Day and we got to finally hear all of our favorite songs. ‘not my job anymore’ definitely went as hard as we thought it would. Thomas’ newest song ‘Hearts Get Broken’ that released late June 2024 has been a REPEAT on our Spotify playlist. We just can’t get enough!
Up next was the reason we all trekked to Bayou Music Center on this hot and humid Saturday… Joshua Bassett was finally gracing us with his presence. A genuine beam of light brought him onto the stairs at the back of the stage and it was the perfect foreshadowing to how the night would go. Not only did Joshua bring major energizer bunny energy to the stage, but he also brought such light and genuine happiness of finally being back with his Houston friends.
We were pleasantly surprised with how much energy that Joshua and the crowd brought and fed to each other. It was a joy to watch. He even decided to walk through the crowd and shake as many fans’ hands as he could. We even snagged a photo that lowkey looks like it could be in a scene in his future biopic.
Now let’s chat about the music! Joshua played our favorites: ‘Cherry Blossom,’ ‘Biting My Tongue,’ and ‘Dancing With Tears In My Eyes.’ We are so happy that we finally got to hear him perform these incredible songs from his latest album, The Golden Years.
All in all, we are so honored that we got to attend The Golden Years Tour! If the tour is coming near you, make sure you snag some tickets – you won’t regret it, we promise.
